Course Opening
WE DID IT, with the help of mother nature and Zack and his crew’s hard work on the cleanup process we are opening the golf course for 2026 season just hours before the Red Sox start their 2026 season. The course will open at 11am on Thursday March 26th for walking; play on Thursday will be first come first serve. On Thursday we will start taking tee times for future days. There is still some snow on parts of the course, but the recent weather and snow melt has left the golf course wet. All greens are open, but we will have a couple of temporary tees as some snow still needs to melt on tee boxes and fairways. Golf Carts will be available at some point next week. Zack and his crew have done a tremendous job with tree work and brush cutting to make the wood area more playable for the golfers that hit it there, and for those players in the fairway you can see through the tree line. For the remaining days in the month of March, the first tee time everyday 9am.
The practice putting greens and practice area will be closed as they need a little extra time to recover from the winter; we will get them open as soon as we can. Please be advised that there will be frost delays in the early part of the golf season; the golf course maintenance staff will let us know when the course is playable. There is no set time for a frost delay; the temperature must get to a certain temperature for the frost to go away. During a frost delay the practice area is closed, just like the golf course due to the frost.
Here is a quick tip from the King on how to take strokes off your score. Arnold Palmer had the best tip on how to take five strokes of anyone’s golf game; it’s called an eraser.
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will begin on Monday March 30th and run through Easter Sunday on April 5th. Find an egg and bring it to the pro shop and get the prize on the tag inside; find the silver egg and get a dozen Titleist Pro V1s. Happy Hunting!
Thank you for your cooperation and on behalf of the staff at Rowley Country Club we look forward to a fantastic 2026 golf season.
