      • We will adjust tee times accordingly so that play is during daylight hours.

      • Please keep in mind when thunder roars go indoors

·         Times will change with changes in sunrise and sunset times.

·         Public players may book three days in advance

Tip of the Month with Mike Farrell, PGA

When putting you always want a shorter backstroke and a longer stroke to the hole

And concentrate on the pace of the ball as it should slow down near the hole

Superintendent's Corner

August was quite a month! As most of you know we lost our irrigation system for 8 days. We were relentless in our effort to get everything back up and running and to keep everything alive. We have areas that went into dormancy protection, but we have recovered well and you’ll see a further recovery in the coming weeks. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

We just aerated our greens with 1/4” solid tines and over seeded greens, and In September, we will be aerating and over seeding fairways and tees in several hard pack and problem areas. We just fertilized all our tees and fairways. Many people ask what aeration is and what our process is. We aerify all playing surfaces each fall to open channels in the turf for water movement, provide plants access to nutrients and allow natural gases in the soil profile to escape and oxygen to reach the plants roots. The impact on playability is very small. Most players won’t even notice the tiny holes made during spiking. During this process, players may encounter a few tees undergoing the aeration process, but you will always have a clean area to hit from. This will ensure a green, healthy, beautiful fall.

As always, thank you for your support and please remember to fix ball marks. It takes a few seconds to fix and unfixed ball mark takes 15 days to heal.
